Director Zhang Yimou is going down. It's called the bottleneck of your career.

The new movie is about two hours long and the ticket is about twice more expensive that all other movies shown around the time. The cost was a quater of a billion plus a few dozen million for promotion.

About an hour into the movie I realized that there would be nothing to keep me from saying that this one really, really sucks. Even after the fiasco of Hero, I still cannot believe that this is a Zhang Yimou film. But it absolutely is. Hero was, at least, beautiful. There is not a single remarkable thing in this movie, and the trailer is probably the least sucking part of it.

Great Mr. Zhang is in menopause. Let us give him some time.

I, a software engineer and a amateur in photography, could have done this movie with 500 thousand dollars, period.
